Fusion Industrial Data Analytics Hub with Azure

Read the video transcript below for your own convenience:

There is a need for what we call the Industrial Analytics Hub. The central place where industrial or operational analytics need to be run off of. That’s the space that we are focused on. This is what our customers are looking for. They’re looking for a single solution that gives them the ability to run operational analytics in their Azure environments.

So what’s operational efficiency?

The ability to do the same thing faster or produce a much higher quality out of the same products that they make today.

How is that market changing?

Previously, it was all on a site-by-site basis. They are looking to now centralize all that functions in one place. The primary need that the customers have is to move from old data center-based infrastructure to a scaling infrastructure like Cloud like Microsoft Azure.

Uptake Fusion

Our solution Uptake Fusion is extremely securely designed to be able to align the control plane of Azure to the demilitarized zones within the client and completely comply with their requirements for security. The amount of volume of data is so high that there has to be a very unique way of pushing that data into Cloud. This is something that we do extremely well and it’s a differentiator for us. We organize all such data in a hierarchical form in a form that is consumable directly and it’s reflective of the actual side or plant in one place.  These three together make our Uptake Fusion very unique. One of our market customers in the oil and gas space. They came to us looking for a solution. Today we have stood up for this particular client at over 23 locations bringing 6.5 million data tags coming in in a matter of seconds into the cloud. So you’re thinking of billions and billions of data points per day that is being delivered into Azure. That is almost unheard of in the industry.

There are three unique things about Microsoft Azure for us.

  1. First and foremost, it is the most available cloud in any company.
  2. Secondly, security is an extremely important function, and we believe that Azure has the best security offering to be able to transact data in extremely secure ways from The Edge into the cloud.
  3. Third is Microsoft, and its need to participate in the OT Market is an advantage to us.

So it’s a very good partnership for us that as Microsoft starts to focus a lot more into the manufacturing and the process industries, we are an extremely important offering for Microsoft to be able to achieve its growth, the targets, and its ability to scale within the OT environment.
