Uptake Fusion Accelerates Digital Transformation: Davey Textile’s Loom Operations Path to Achieve 100% OEE

CHICAGO and EDMONTON — February 6, 2023 — Uptake, a leader in predictive analytics software-as-a-service (SaaS), today announced Uptake Fusion was selected by Davey Textiles as the foundation for their digital transformation. In 2010, Davey Textiles made a strategic decision to eliminate subcontracting of the manufacturing process. As the leader in safety textiles, they wanted to maintain the integrity of the full production process. A decade later, the team recognizes another critical transformation is needed: digital transformation. By adding sensors to equipment such as warpers, looms, finishers, laminators, lasers and more, Davey Textiles collects critical information that is used to drive greater operational efficiency. Once installed, they needed a data foundation that could collect, organize and present information in an actionable format.

Leading our digital transformation efforts has been a highlight of my career. Uptake Fusion has been a critical partner for us. With Uptake’s intelligent software, industry expertise and collaborative approach, we are leading the way in the textile industry.

— Dan King, Vice President of Operations, Davey Textiles.
Today, Davey Textiles uses Uptake Fusion to fuel operational dashboards displayed on big screens throughout the plant to drive operational excellence.

Davey Textiles is doing exactly what we hoped when we designed Uptake Fusion. They are using data to make a meaningful impact on their operation. We are honored to continue to serve as the foundation for this important work.
