Accelerating Fusion Data Hub Innovation with Microsoft Fabric

We are excited about the latest Microsoft announcement on Fabric and how this aligns with our latest developments including data connectivity.

What is Fusion: Fusion is a cloud-native industrial data analytics hub that provides central access to industrial operations data such as historians, DCSs, SCADAs and IoT Sensors to consolidate data and satisfy demands of 3rd party applications as operational customers drive innovation on digital programs.

Fusion integrated with Microsoft Fabric: With Microsoft’s announcement of general availability for Fabric, Fusion can be deployed within Fabric or can publish data to Fabric’s OneLake. This enables Microsoft customers to acquire data from the full spectrum of operational data sources such as OSISoft’s PI, Rockwell, Ignition, GeoSCADA and our newly released connectors for AspenTech’s IP.21 and OPC-UA.

Advantages of Microsoft Fabric: Below are some features from Microsoft Fabric which are relevant to our customers using Fusion:

  • Reduce the cost by integrating several services and by enabling a single pool or capacity and storage that can be used by multiple consumers
  • Unified data, including operational data collected and contextualized by Fusion, ERP and CMMS data, within OneLake including the capability to access data from across multiple clouds
  • Leverage AI with Azure services to enable self-service capabilities

Future roadmap: We continue to work with the Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Explorer teams to accelerate innovation for Fusion. As Fabric’s capabilities mature, Fusion will continue to integrate its capabilities within our solution to drive down our customer’s total cost of ownership and enable our customers to benefit from Fabric’s capabilities.

Fusion, now integrated with Microsoft’s latest technologies in Fabric, is a key enabling technology for organizations to leverage their industrial data for transformative outcome.
